Privacy Policy.
At Humana Legal we treat your personal data with the utmost care and in accordance with Chilean Law No. 19.628 on the Protection of Private Life and other applicable regulations. This policy describes what data we collect, why we use it, how we protect it, and the rights you hold.
1. Data controller
Tamara López González, attorney, domiciled in Chile, is the controller of your personal data. For any question about this policy you may write to tamara@humanalegal.cl.
2. Data we collect
We only collect the data you voluntarily provide through our contact channels. In particular:
- Full name and contact details (email and, optionally, phone number).
- General information about your case or inquiry.
- Anonymous technical browsing data (IP address, browser, pages visited), for statistical purposes. We use Umami, a self-hosted analytics solution that does not use cookies or track users across sites.
3. Purposes of processing
- Responding to your inquiries and coordinating potential professional services.
- Providing the legal services you entrust to us.
- Complying with applicable legal, tax and regulatory obligations.
- Analyzing site usage in order to improve it.
We do not use your data for advertising purposes nor sell it to third parties.
4. Processors and providers
To operate this website we rely on the following:
- Own infrastructure: the site and its contact form are processed entirely on servers we manage, with encrypted connections and encrypted backups. Messages you send through the form do not pass through third-party services.
- Google Fonts: typeface delivery. It does not set cookies or identify visitors.
5. Professional privilege
All information provided in the context of a legal consultation — even if no engagement results — is protected by the professional privilege enshrined in the Code of Professional Ethics of the Chilean Bar Association.
6. Retention
We retain data for as long as a professional relationship exists and for the periods required by applicable regulations (in particular, statutes of limitation for tax obligations and case-record retention requirements).
7. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data: encrypted connections (HTTPS with TLS 1.3), access control, backups, and data-minimization principles.
8. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, cancel or object to the processing of your data. To exercise these rights, send your request to tamara@humanalegal.cl, providing proof of identity.
9. Cookies
This site does not use tracking or advertising cookies. The analytics tool we use (Umami) works without cookies, relying on anonymous aggregations based on daily-rotated IP hashes.
10. Changes
This policy may be updated. The current version will always be available at this address.
